CAPE WINELANDS

The Winelands are less than half an hour from Cape Town. The earliest European settlements of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franshhoek and Somerset West, each with its own wine route, on which you can travel from one estate to the next to taste the wine.
Summer is the best time to visit when days are longer and all the cellar tours are in full swing.  Several estates offer lunches, while others allow picnics in their grounds which is a great idea if you are travelling with children.  Throughout the Winelands you will be spoilt for wonderful places to eat, and at week-ends Capetonians come here to dine in style.
