The Greater St Lucia Wetland park – a World Heritage Site- encompasses astonishing unspoilt beaches, coral reefs and marine reserves that are either home to, or on regular migrations routes for humpback whales, ragged tooth sharks, whale sharks, tiger sharks, manta rays, marlin and giant morays to name a few. Endangered leatherback turtles and loggerhead turtles use this coastline as their breeding ground, which boasts long running protection programmes. There are countless ways of enjoying the treasures of the virtually undiscovered wildlife wonderland with its luxury lodges and conservation programmes.
