Earlier today I stood in line behind two people and waited patiently for them to place their belongings into bins and onto the belt to be x-rayed. I watched as personal belongings were pulled from multiple pockets of bags, coat pockets, and who knows where else. Oops! “I forgot about my watch.” One guy is now backtracking to the x-ray machine to put his watch into a small oval bin. “Sir, your shoes need to be removed and placed directly onto the belt!” yells one of the TSA officers.

With a growing borderless European Continent there are many issues to consider on this march to a unified super-state. Each country (approximately 52) traditionally has its own values, beliefs, customs, and identity as well as its own language and style of communication. A monumental challenge in creating a single-state will be to combine or merge all of these national traits into a harmonious, unified nation. This article aims to compare and contrast the respective communicative styles of both French and Polish highlighting areas of similarity and possible conflict and relating the issue to the wider European context.

HOW TO PREPARE BEFORE YOUR SHOOT:

- Get a good night’s sleep the night before. This isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but it’s really important to try. The more rested you are, the better you’ll look.

- Drink plenty of water at least an hour or two before your session. Hydrated skin looks much healthier than dry skin. Try not to drink too much coffee that day and avoid eating greasy, salty or fatty foods for at least a day or two before your shoot.

A beautiful riding trip (with Minsk – a Russian bike) brought us up into the remote northern region of Laos between the borders of China and Vietnam. Did not miss any moments when we got closed to Phongsali town, taste felling of riding through jungle on zigzag moutain road. Many small villages: Lyzyzo Village, Roma, Ban Nam Ly… along the way invite us for a small walk, met and said “sabaidee” to all local people.

The Ethnic Museum in Phongsali city center is a place where you can see traditional costumes and lifestyles of about 22 groups of ethnic minorities: H’mong, Iko, Arka, Yao,… The climate in Phongsali recommends you make a fire out door with somes Lao Lao at night.

In case you are old enough to remember, back in 1980, there was quite a fuss when Marilyn Ferguson came out with her book The Aquarian Conspiracy. It was an exciting event to find tangible evidence of something many of us suspected: we were not alone in our new way of thinking!
